PRIVACY
Privacy policies. They’re long, cumbersome, hard to read, and are generally ignored by the public at large. But, we’ve gotta have it, and since you’re here, we at the Youth Coding League (YCL) want to be as transparent as possible regarding the information collected by this website (https://www.youthcodingleague.com/). So, let’s get through this as quickly and plainly as possible, shall we?
Contact
A contact link at the bottom of each page of the YCL website launches the user's default email client with parameters for sending an email to Stacy Dohogne Lane (stacy@youthcodingleague.com) with the subject line, "Youth Coding League." YCL will use the name, email address, and message provided to respond to any questions or comments left in the message. If the message is positive, YCL may request to use all or part of the message as a testimonial in promotional materials. If we’re feeling conscientious and our memory is good, we may also send other resources to the email address provided, if we think the resources would be helpful or otherwise worthwhile to a particular party. However, this is the extent to which this information will be used, and it will not be shared with any other parties without the expressed consent of the information provider.
Wufoo
YCL uses Wufoo to collect community voting on playoff and championship coding projects. The form also collects the user's email address to prevent duplicate votes using the same email address. Wufoo will share this information with YCL per the terms of their service and privacy policy. YCL does not share or sell this information with third-parties.
Eventbrite
YCL uses Eventbrite to collect RSVPs for our end-of-semester All Star Party and other coding activities.
Eventbrite will share this information with YCL per the terms of their service and privacy policy. Once received from Eventbrite, YCL uses this information to plan appropriately for youth coding activities, and will not share this information with any other parties without the expressed consent of the information provider.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
